Institutional-Based Health Services at the JNF General Hospital Announces New Promotions in Nursing Leadership

The Joseph N France General Hospital (JNF) is delighted to announce the promotion of three outstanding Staff Nurses, recognizing their exceptional skills and dedication to healthcare. Following a rigorous and competitive interview process that showcased their vast knowledge and proficiency, they have been appointed as Assistant Nurse Managers.

Valencia Rawlings, a highly trusted member of the Oncology Ward, has accepted her new role as an Assistant Nurse Manager. With numerous years of experience, Rawlings has been a pillar of support and expertise for cancer patients, renowned for her compassionate care and profound knowledge in the field.

Stepping into a leadership role at the Maternity Ward is Nelyssa Hutchinson, a skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse. Hutchinson’s adept skills and deep understanding of prenatal and postnatal care have been evident throughout her career, as she consistently handles high-pressure situations with remarkable composure and competence.

Completing the trio is Staff Nurse Thelesha Gordon of the Ophthalmic Unit, who will also take on the role of Assistant Nurse Manager. Gordon has played an integral part in enhancing patient outcomes in her unit, demonstrating an exceptional ability to balance meticulous care with comprehensive health management.

Together, Rawlings, Hutchinson, and Gordon boast over 25 years of nursing experience in their respective fields. Their well-deserved promotions not only testify to their individual expertise and commitment but also highlight the depth of talent present within the JNF nursing staff.

The Ministry of Health wholeheartedly supports these promotions. “We have absolute confidence in the abilities of Valencia, Nelyssa, and Thelesha,” affirmed Dr. Rondalyn Bradshaw, the Principal Nursing Officer. “Their years of dedicated service in their respective units have demonstrated their readiness for these new managerial roles. As Nurse Managers, Rawlings, Hutchinson, and Gordon will now oversee daily operations in their respective departments, provide mentorship to new and current nurses, and play a pivotal role in ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care.
